Office Hours

PPAC's office is open Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-7:30 pm.

Class Placement

Students are placed in appropriate classes at the teacher's discretion.  Students are promoted on their individual talents, not necessarily by age.

Missed Classes

The only missed classes that will be made up are for those missed due to sickness or family emergencies.  These classes will only be made up if a phone call is received in the office prior to the class that will be missed. No deduction will be made to class fees for missed classes.  Classes missed due to a teacher being absent will be made up at the student's convenience.

Dance Attire

Proper dance attire is important and will be strictly enforced.  Shorts and t-shirts are not considered dance clothes.  Leotards, tights, dance pants, ballet, tap, or jazz shoes are to be worn by all students.  Hair should always be worn pulled away from the face.

Drop Off and Pick Up of Students

Unless arrangements have been made with the office, students should not be brought to the studio more than 10 minutes before their class and should be picked up immediately after class.  Young children waiting on dancers should be supervised by parents and need to be kept in the waiting room.  For safety, we ask that no child, student or their siblings, be allowed to run up and down our hallway or climb onto stages or furniture in the office area.  All students are expected to stay inside until a parent arrives.  If a student is being picked up by someone other than a parent, the teacher should be notified.  Any student leaving PPAC to go around the square should let a teacher know when they are leaving and when they return.

Inclement Weather

In the event of a tornado warning during class time, all students will be moved to the basement.  If snow, ice or flooding occurs and Giles County Schools are closed, please listen to WKSR or check our Facebook page or call PPAC after noon for class closings.

Refreshments

Drinks are allowed in the dance room as long as they have a top.  No food is allowed in the dance room.

Dance Recital

PPAC’s Spring Dance Recital is usually held the first Friday and Saturday in June.

Recital Costumes

Costumes are ordered December 1st. Recital Costume money is due December 1st.

Studio Calendar

The studio will observe the following holidays in accordance with Giles County Schools:

Class Fees

Class fees are based on the number of hours taken per week per family.  All fees are due on the 1st of each month. To avoid a $5.00 late fee, the entire account balance must be paid in full by the 15th. A $20.00 fee is charged for returned checks.  Every student must have $0 balance to participate in recital.

Class fees may be paid at the desk by cash or check, or mailed to:

Pulaski Performing Arts Center

P.O. Box 5

Pulaski, TN 38478

Any child more than a month behind in class fees will not be admitted to class until fees are paid. The price of tuition is based on an average of four classes per month and is not altered for months with holidays, etc in which less than four classes are held.  When holidays occur, students will be given a list of makeup times to come to class. Tuition is pro-rated only for the first month when a new student joins the studio.
